Making an Effective Power Point Presentation
- Use no more than 2-3 fonts in a presentation. Keep font choices for headings and body text consistent throughout the presentation.
- Do not include too much content on a single slide. The rule is no more than 6 bulleted or listed items on a page.
- Use color consistently.
- Keep text short and to the point. Always avoid red within the body text.
- Keep backgrounds consistent.
- Keep sounds consistent.
- Use borders around graphics and pictures to help them stand out against the background.
- Limit the amount of text. Instead use animation, graphics, photos, sound, and movies to help deliver your message.
