AWAKE Water Quality and Nonpoint Source Pollution

Through this project, students will investigate water quality problems in the Cane Run watershed alongside University of Kentucky and University of Louisville researchers. Elementary, middle and high school students from Georgetown and Lexington will collect data on community-based water quality problems, while improving their science content, science process skills, and understanding of the nature of science. The question the students are interested in understanding is how activities within their watershed impact water quality.
