AWAKE Pictures

These pictures are from our field trip to the Frankfort Fish and Wildlife hatchery. The goal of the hatchery is to experiment to save the native mussels.

Raceway that contains hybrid stripers that may be used as host fish for the mussel larva.

The tanks house various host fish such as bluegill for the mussel larva.

Algae IV to provide the mussels with nutrients.

Algae experiment to find the right diet for the mussels so more will survive.
